Our Life Is What Our Thoughts Make It.

Thank you for sharing!

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.

Maya Angelou

The older i keep getting the more I realize just how unfair life truly is and how little control we have of it.

5 years ago, hell even just two years ago, I was still stuck In the mindset that someday life will be “perfect”.. or atleast what I thought was perfect and I was willing to do whatever I could to make perfect happen.

That was part of the problem.

I thought for sure after all I had been through in my short 20 something years of life that surely things would someday be different.

And they are.. to an extent.

But, truth is: life is cruel.

Life is a war we fight daily.

All the good in the world, and there is just as much evil…maybe even more.

Good days and bad days both come.. and they go.

It’s a fight I’m learning I or anyone else will never win.

Part of accepting the fact that doing my best has to be good enough isn’t just a daily pep talk I give myself, it’s survival for me.

Everyday in my head is a whole different fight; one I am dedicated daily to winning.

The things I was told and shown in the past are things I will unfortunately carry with me for the rest of my life, and I have to be ok with that.

Somehow. However it may be.

The one thing proven to be the most consistent is a positive attitude.

There is a way to change those thoughts around–I am still learning how to fully get there myself.

It’s a process that you have to have enough patience for yourself to get through.

Change is inevitable.

Especially when life, shitty relationships, and just shit happens daily.

Storm after storm..

The good news is that seasons do change and light will come again.

My advice for anyone is to hang onto whatever hope you have, even if it’s barely none at all.

Faith and hope have gotten me to where I am; nothing else.

Something I am thankful I am now understanding is that it’s not me. And you need to understand it’s not you. It’s not me. It’s not you.

You have to get that.

Because if you don’t you begin to lose who you are really quick.

And that’s the part that you do have control of.. the hardest part can be actually taking that full control.

You have to just do it.

Take control right now. That negative thought your having, that bad day that has turned into a bad week..

You have the power to turn it around right now in this very moment.

It’s amazing what power we hold within ourselves and how little most of us realize it.

It won’t be easy, but this type of stuff isn’t easy for anyone.

It’s better to put the hard work here now then somewhere else.

You truly never know who you are inspiring.

YOU need to come first before anything else because you will always reap what you sow. Good or bad. Isn’t that the way life goes?

God always rewards those who are willing to put in the work. He wants you to be happy, too.

Know who you are, what you want and claim it.

This world is full of good for all, we just have to seek it in every thought, every action, and every day.

I hope and pray the best for you all today and everyday.
